You may be thinking, “I clean out my refrigerator every once in a while.” If you regularly throw out any expired items or clean up any spills from leftovers, then great! However, that’s only half of the cleaning process.
When you clean out your refrigerator, make sure you clean the corners that you might not be checking regularly. Make sure you remove your vegetable and meat drawers to do a deep clean.

Make sure you’re drinking clean, residue-free water by regularly maintaining your water dispenser. To clean it, take a small brush and dip it in vinegar. The brush should be small enough to clean the spout, like a toothbrush.
You can also try running vinegar through the line, reservoir, and tubing. Make sure you turn off the water supply before running the vinegar through it. After running vinegar through it, you can reattach the line to the water supply again.
Door Seal and Handle
Aside from kitchen appliances, the door seal and the handles of your cabinets are the prime reason for any contamination. To make sure you are safe from unwanted germs, make sure you clean it at least once a month.
For optimal cleaning, you can make a solution made of distilled vinegar and warm water. Ratio the vinegar by one part for every two parts of water. Use a cloth to wipe over every surface.
Your microwave is a hotbed for microorganisms. May it be due to any spillage from food or the strange food smell borne of months of various microwaved meals. Cleaning your microwave can be a bit tricky, and you have to be careful when doing so.
For easy cleaning, take a microwave-safe cup or bowl to mix a cleaning solution. Create another vinegar solution. This time, use around 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar mixed in a cup of water. Leave it to heat up for about 5-10 minutes.
If you see it steam up, wait a bit before the steam breaks down any residual grease on the inside of the microwave. This should take about five more minutes. Afterward, wipe down the moisture with a clean cloth.
Of all items in your kitchen, the garbage can should be the most obvious source of any bacteria or germs. Merely throwing out the trash shouldn’t be where you stop cleaning it. Make sure that you wipe it down every once in a while.
When cleaning, make sure you don’t miss any spots on the garbage can.
